What to Expect

Telehealth only  |  Serving all of North Carolina

A calm, hopeful moment in soft daylight

It's okay to have questions. Most people do.

Many people who reach out are exploring psychiatric care for the first time. They're often curious about medication, but also worried about side effects, long-term dependence, or not feeling like themselves. Inner Wellness is built to make that process feel clear, thoughtful, and personal.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first visit.
Medication is discussed carefully, not rushed.
Your care plan is built with you, not handed to you.

What your first visit looks like

Your first appointment is a psychiatric medication evaluation. The goal is to understand what you've been experiencing, what support you may need, and whether medication management makes sense for you.

1

We start with your story

We talk through what has been feeling hard lately, your mental health history, past treatment experiences, and what you want help with most.

2

We review options together

If medication is appropriate, Ashley explains the reasoning, possible benefits, side effects, and alternatives in plain language so you can make an informed decision.

3

We make a plan that fits your life

Care is personalized. That may include medication management, education, follow-up, and coordination with your therapist or other providers when helpful.

4

We stay in communication

Treatment does not end with a prescription. Inner Wellness monitors progress, answers questions, and adjusts the plan as needed over time.

No pressure. No one-size-fits-all approach. Just thoughtful care and a clear next step.

What medication management actually means

Medication management is more than writing a prescription. At Inner Wellness, it includes thoughtful evaluation, education about how medications work, monitoring for side effects, and shared decision-making throughout treatment.

Education first

You should understand what you are taking, why it was recommended, and what to watch for.

Close follow-up

Medication decisions are monitored and adjusted thoughtfully over time.

Whole-person care

Medication is one part of treatment, not the whole picture. Inner Wellness also supports care coordination and therapist connection when needed.

Meeting for telehealth care from a comfortable space

Telehealth can still feel personal

All appointments are done via telehealth, which means you can meet from a place that feels comfortable and secure. Inner Wellness serves patients across North Carolina and frames telehealth as a convenient way to access personalized psychiatric care, not as a replacement for real connection.
