Psychiatric care that fits your life.

Evaluation, medication management, and GeneSight testing, all by telehealth anywhere in North Carolina. Every step is explained in plain language, and every decision is made with you.

Where care begins

Psychiatric evaluation

Your first appointment is a psychiatric medication evaluation. It's a full hour to understand what you've been experiencing, what support you may need, and whether medication management makes sense for you.

This may be a good fit if:

  • You've wondered whether medication could help, but feel nervous about starting.
  • You want clear answers about options, side effects, and what treatment may look like.
  • You want a provider who sees the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

What your first visit looks like

  1. We start with your storyWhat's been feeling hard lately, your history, past treatment, and what you want help with most.
  2. We review options togetherIf medication is appropriate, Ashley explains the reasoning, possible benefits, side effects, and alternatives.
  3. We make a plan that fits your lifeThat may include medication, education, follow-up, and coordination with your therapist.

You don't need to have it all figured out. Choosing not to start medication is always an option.

Ongoing care

Medication management

Medication management is more than writing a prescription. It includes thoughtful evaluation, education about how medications work, monitoring for side effects, and shared decision-making throughout treatment.

You can expect to:

  • Understand what you're taking, why it was recommended, and what to watch for.
  • Have regular check-ins to see how you're doing.
  • Adjust your plan together as your needs change.
  • Ask questions at any point, without feeling rushed.

Education first

You should understand what you're taking, why it was recommended, and what to watch for.

Close follow-up

Medication decisions are monitored and adjusted thoughtfully over time.

Whole-person care

Medication is one part of treatment, not the whole picture.

Personalized medication planning

GeneSight® testing Now offering

Finding the right medication shouldn't feel like guesswork. GeneSight is a simple at-home cheek swab that shows how your body may process certain mental health medications, so treatment can feel more personalized and less trial and error.

Good to know:

  • It doesn't diagnose you, and it won't name one "perfect" medication.
  • The report groups medications by how easily your body may work with them.
  • Ashley explains what the results mean for you, alongside your history and symptoms.

How it works

  1. Talk it throughAt a virtual visit, you and Ashley decide whether GeneSight makes sense for you right now.
  2. Swab at homeA kit is mailed to you with simple instructions. You mail it back in the prepaid envelope.
  3. The lab creates your reportProcessing typically takes a few business days after the lab receives your swab.
  4. Review results togetherAshley walks through the report in plain language and uses it to shape your plan.

Cost depends on your insurance. GeneSight offers financial assistance and a self-pay cap for those who qualify. Please check with GeneSight and your insurance company to confirm your out-of-pocket cost.
